De Clercq & Partners Celebrates MIP IP Star Listings for 2024
We’re proud to announce that several of our esteemed colleagues have been recognized in the 2024 Managing IP (MIP) ranking lists:
- Joost Muylle has been listed again as a Trade mark Star list for 2024, highlighting his expertise and achievements in trade mark law.
- Ann De Clercq has been recognized again on two prestigious lists: Top 250 Women in IP and the Patent Star list for 2024.
- Koen Vanhalst has been included again in the Patent Star list for 2024.

Our founding partner, Dr. Ann De Clercq, was again awarded by Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) as one of the “Top 250 Women in IP” globally for 2024. Ann is delighted to have made this prestigious list once more as it validates her position as a leading Patent Attorney in Belgium and the rest of the world.
Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) recently published this year’s IP Stars individual rankings, and we’re delighted to announce that Ann De Clercq (Founding Partner, Patent Attorney), Joost Muylle (Trade mark & Design Attorney), and Koen Vanhalst (Patent Attorney) are included in these highly respected lists. Ann has been singled out as a leading practitioner in patent prosecution, whereas Joost has received acknowledgment as a trailblazer in the area of trademark prosecution. Koen’s inclusion for the second consecutive year highlights his continued excellence and impact in patent law.
To compile the rankings, an experienced team of research analysts gathers information from thousands of firms, IP practitioners, and their clients through interviews, email, and online surveys. They also conduct independent research, including an analysis of publicly available information (such as court and IP office data) and thoroughly assess aspects such as expertise, workload, market reputation, track record, outcomes achieved for clients, and unique strengths in a given practice area.
It can also be noted that these achievements build upon our accolades this year as the Benelux Firm of 2024 and the Opposition Firm of the Year (also by Managing IP), further solidifying our leadership in the intellectual property arena.
