This week, IAM published their latest edition of the renowned IAM Patent 1000 Guide. De Clercq & Partners is once again proud to announce that we have been recommended as one of Belgium's finest patent prosecution firms.
Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) identifies and profiles leading private practice patent professionals and firms in the world’s key jurisdictions. The list is based on interviews with hundreds of lawyers and attorneys in the field, as well as their clients.
IAM commends De Clercq & Partners for its "granular technical expertise and well-honed strategic judgement", emphasising that our firm "has an unsurpassed reputation in biotechnology and chemistry". Moreover, this year's IAM Patent 1000 Guide applauds the firm for always being on top of things, giving every file "timely, diligent and careful attention".
Additionally, IAM has singled out four of our Patent Attorneys to be featured. Firstly, our Founding Partner and European & Belgian Patent Attorney Ann De Clercq is commended for keeping "the firm at the forefront of European patent agency services" by organizing the annual patent seminar "with real awareness of trends at the European Patent Office". Secondly, Partner and European Patent Attorney Sakina Bounaga "knows how to secure valuable intellectual assets". Liesbet Paemen, Partner and European Patent Attorney, receives praise for being "a skilled prosecutor and discerning adviser who draws on extensive research experience". Finally, Koen Vanhalst, European & Belgian Patent Attorney, is featured in the IAM Patent 1000 Guide for the first time in his carreer. Peers have applauded him for "his incisive expert testimony and polished performances in oppositions", highlighting the fact that he is "very analytical and well informed".
